pep Guardiola

Pep Guardiola’s Man City beat Roy Hodgson’s men 2-0 to go 13 points clear of the premier League table with 4 games to go. Goals from Sergio Aguero and Ferran Torres secured a win for the Citizens after a goalless first half. With United’s game against Liverpool pending, City would be confirmed Champions if Man united lose to Liverpool. This would be Guardiola’s 3rd title in the last four Premier League seasons.

Premier League Survival: two could drop or rise

On the other end of the Premier league table, the relegation battle seems all but over as we go into the final four games. Sheffield united already relegated, West Brom and Fulham’s chances of survival is almost impossible. Burnley and Newcastle must also avoid complacency. As it stands, Fulham and West brom are likely joining Sheffield in the second division.

The Blue maintain top four momentum

Kai Havertz brace for Chelsea helped the blues to a 2-0 win over Fulham in the London derby. Chelsea sits 4th in the premier league table on 61 points and two points off 3rd placed Leicester City. Tomas Tuchel’s men now are now 5 points ahead of 5th placed Tottenham. The former PSG boss has improved Chelsea’s form since his arrival, lifting them from 9th in the Premier League table to fourth. The Blues now looks comfortable in the final Champions league spot.

Gareth Bale’s hat trick downs Sheffield in Premier league clash

Spurs scored four goals against relegation bound Sheffield united in their Premier league clash on Sunday. Gareth Bale scored a hat trick for Tottenham, his first hat trick for Spurs since 2012. Spurs now sits 5th in the table and would be hoping to book a place in the Europa League as top four finish looks out of reach.

Protesting fans halt Man United-Liverpool game

The biggest game of premier match week 34 was unfortunately postponed due security concerns. Man united fans broke into the Old Trafford a couple of hours before kick-off as they protested against the club owners. They were also reports of protesters outside the team hotel during the same period. The police took control of the situation and cleared the premises before kick-off time. However, after discussion between the Police, The Premier League, Trafford council and the clubs, the match was postponded.

The Premier League match week 34 would have been more exciting had the Man United-Liverpool game been played.  The match week wraps up with West Brom Vs Wolves and Burnley Vs West ham
